Welcome to my 'smugmug' site. My photographic hobby is primarily oriented toward landscape photography but, of course, I also take numerous photos of the family - especially the grandkids. As a retired geology instructor, I enjoy mountain, desert, and coastal areas, using my interest in photography as a good excuse to travel and invest in new camera gear! The section on student trips covers more than 33 years of Grand Canyon, Hawaii, and Mono Lake field experiences for my students at Los Altos and Mountain View High Schools. The in-progress geology section illustrates classic geologic features and poses related interpretation questions.
